Apple to unveil iPhone OS 4

Apple has announced that it will be giving a “sneak peek” of its new iPhone OS on April 8

Apple has confirmed that it will be showing off its new iPhone OS – iPhone OS 4 – to journalists on April 8.

Obviously, the rumour mill has begun spinning and there are even reports that Apple is unveiling three new OSs – 4.0, 4.1, and 4.0.1. According to Engadget, this could mean that Apple is readying for the release of multiple iPhone models.

Multitasking, and its inclusion on the new iPhone OS, is high on everyone’s wish list. That said, there’s no multitasking on the iPad – so we aren’t holding our breath.

Nevertheless, Apple is said to be working on a modified version of Expose for iPhone, according to PC Pro.

Granted, this isn’t multitasking but it’d certainly be a nice addition to the iPhone platform.

We’ll be live blogging from the event, so stay tuned on Thursday from 6PM.
